A-QUASAN®

The freshness and quality of products play a key role in food processing, particularly in terms of shelf life. A germ infestation in food processing areas can lead to major losses during storage.
The most relevant germ-spreading vectors consist of work and storage surfaces, irrigation systems, transport surfaces and production facilities.
A-QUASAN® is the only authorised disinfectant with the active ingredient benzoic acid for the food and animal feed sector against bacteria, fungi and yeasts.
Due to its good material compatibility, it can be used on all commonly used surfaces and leaves no residues when used properly.
A-QUASAN® is used in veterinary areas, animal feed, beverage and food production, for example in warehouses, cold stores, etc., as well as in greenhouse areas where food is processed.

Disinfection of hard surfaces for professional users for spraying with a low-pressure sprayer or as foam indoors for hygiene in the veterinary sector (PT = product type 3) and food and animal feed sector (PT = product type 4)
(PT3) Disinfection of non-porous surfaces in the following areas
- Veterinary care (veterinary clinics, veterinary testing laboratories and associated equipment)
- Pets (animal accommodation, e.g. kennels, hutches and cages and associated equipment)
- Immersion treatment by soaking (e.g. crockery, cutlery, equipment, small machines, machine parts, crates, boxes)
(PT4) Disinfection of surfaces in veterinary water systems. For use in veterinary practices, animal shelters and animal feeding areas
- Animal husbandry (animal stables, market stables, slaughterhouses etc.)
- Closed system: Filling the system (e.g. pipes) with the product solution. Pipe systems are filled with the product solution for the recommended application time.
(PT4) Disinfection to protect against human pathogens for use in food manufacturing plants, beverage manufacturing plants, warehouses, cold stores and areas in greenhouses where food is processed. In greenhouses, use only in areas where food is processed:
- Disinfection of non-porous surfaces (e.g. work and storage surfaces, crates, boxes, transport surfaces, tools, machines)
- Disinfection of equipment by soaking (e.g. plates, cutlery, equipment, small machines, machine parts, crates, boxes)
- Disinfection of internal surfaces without circulation (e.g. pipes, tanks, fillers, mixers, other machines etc.)
- Disinfection of surfaces in drinking water and water systems (e.g. pipes, tanks, fillers, mixers, other machines etc.)
- Closed system: Filling the system (e.g. pipes) with the product solution. Pipe systems are filled with the product solution for the recommended application time.
A-QUASAN® contains the active ingredient benzoic acid at 90 g/litre. Benzoic acid also occurs naturally in the environment: for example in fruits (especially in soft fruits), nuts, but also in some dairy products and in honey.
Benzoic acid or its salts are also used for preservation. Accordingly, the list of ingredients contains either the respective names and/or the E-numbers E 210 (benzoic acid), E 211 (sodium salt), E 212 (potassium salt) or E 213 (calcium salt).
